Children’s Day

“Every child is a different kind of flower, and all together make this world a beautiful garden.”

To commemorate the birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Children’s Day was celebrated by the Junior Wing of DPS Budgam, with lot of vigour and vibrance.

As a part of everyday assembly, a special choir of teachers sang the prayer and the children were melodiously welcomed by all the teachers singing to them. A special speech on the importance of children in our society was also given. Bringing out the child in them and keeping the spirit of childhood alive, the teachers performed a beautiful dance in the form of Gidda, Kashmiri Rouf and Traditional dance choreographed by teachers which was followed by a group song.

The ceremony was addressed by the Headmistress Ms. Shobhna Sirohi who greeted all the students very warmly on behalf of the entire Junior Wing. The function was concluded by giving refreshment to all the children.
