DPS Budgam Wins U19 Girls’ Volleyball Title

DPS Budgam Wins U19 Girls’ Volleyball Titl at Youth Services and Sports Zone Budgam Competition Date: 27/06/2024 .The Department of Youth Services and Sports Zone Budgam recently organized an exciting volleyball competition for girls in the U/14, U/17, and U/19 categories. The event was held at BHSS Budgam and saw an enthusiastic participation of 230 young athletes.
The competition was inaugurated by the esteemed Zonal Physical Education Officer (ZPEO) of Budgam, Mr. Tariq Ahmad, alongside Activity Incharge of the zone, Mr. Kousar Ahmad, and other senior officials. During the inauguration, Mr. Tariq Ahmad spoke about the numerous benefits of participating in sports and games. He praised the students for their dedication and commended the officials for their efforts in organizing such a successful event.
In the U/19 category, the DPS Budgam girls’ volleyball team emerged victorious in the final match against Girls Higher Secondary School Budgam, showcasing their exceptional skills and teamwork.
This win highlighted the strong performance and determination of the DPS Budgam team throughout the competition.
The U/17 girls’ volleyball team from DPS Budgam faced a tough semi-final match and was defeated by Girls Higher Secondary School Shogpora. Despite the loss, the team demonstrated great effort and sportsmanship. The event emphasized the importance of sports in fostering teamwork, discipline, and physical fitness among young girls. It was a memorable occasion that celebrated the spirit of sportsmanship and the potential of young athletes in Budgam.
