DPS Budgam Girls Shines in Football Match

DPS Budgam girls thrash Doon Girls in Football match.

Playing games can artificially speed up the learning curve to develop the right kind of thought processes. One of the best ways of learning through playing is by indulging in the game of football. Football is a game of speed, stamina, strategy, skills. DPS Budgam
believes in teaching through training in various sports activities.
Reliance Foundation organized the Reliance Football Tournament U-19 for Girls. It was held at Green Valley Educational Institute, Illahi Bagh, Srinagar. The event took place on
26 June 2024. The first game was played between Delhi Public School, Budgam, and Doon International School in which Delhi Public School, Budgam, emerged as the winner. Both the teams scored no goal in the first half of the game . In the second half, Maham (9B) from DPS Budgam managed to score a goal against the rival team. She displayed wonderful dribbling skills and was declared as the player of the match. The school took part in a girls’ football event for the first time and showcased a brilliant performance by defeating the opponents. The next game will be played on Monday. The Principal of the school, Dr. Samuel, congratulated the winning team and encouraged them to continue their hard work and practice.
