Inter-District Provincial Level Taekwondo Competition

An Inter-District Provincial Level Taekwondo Competition was organised by the Office of the District Youth Services and Sports, Budgam from 5th August 2024 to 9th August 2024. The competition was organised for the boys and girls of all the age groups. Graced by the Incharge Activity DYSSO Budgam, it was held at the Main Stadium, Chrar-i-Sharif, Budgam to enhance the competence of young children. He addressed the participants, encouraging them to participate in games and sports.
The event witnessed an active participation of students in all the categories of the competition. DPS Budgam also participated in the competition and showcased great ebullience. Arsh Qunain, a student of class 9th C brought glory to the school by winning a gold medal in U-17 age group and 63kg category. She defeated the opponent from Srinagar Taekwondo Club by 2:1. Felicitating the talent of the student , Arsh Qunain has been selected for the State Taekwondo Championship which is scheduled to be held at Jammu in November 2024 .
The championship provided a platform for young athletes to showcase their talent and foster sportsmanship among the participants.
