The Urdu Department of DPS Budgam today on 7th September, brought together young minds in a spirited debate on the thought-provoking topic, “Can the Internet Replace Teachers in Modern Education?” The event, marked by intellectual vigour and lively exchanges, saw eight talented Class IX students take the stage, supported by dynamic anchors Ariana and Mavara-Un-Nisa.
In a remarkable display of oratory skill, Arnoosh and Shah Waris emerged as the joint first-place winners, captivating both the audience and judges with their compelling arguments. Shams-un-Nisa and Zymal secured the second position, while Syed Sara claimed third, each participant demonstrating a profound understanding of the topic. Principal Dr. Samuel Seelan, along with Dean Co-Scholastic Mr. Mahfooz, graced the event, awarding the winners with medals and certificates, commending their exceptional efforts.
Judges Mr. Rahil Rafiq, Mrs. Shaista Siddique, and Mr. Mahfooz Aslam not only delivered fair judgments but also inspired the students with motivating poetry, further enriching the experience.
Spearheaded by Mr. Nadeem, the Head of the Urdu Department, the debate was a vibrant and successful celebration of language and intellect. It aimed to cultivate students’ speaking skills, creativity, and strengthen their bond with the Urdu language, nurturing a new generation of eloquent and thoughtful speakers.
