Empowering Expression: Inter House Urdu and Hindi Speech Competition 2025

“Speech is power; words can inspire, change perspectives, and shape the future. Today, our young orators proved that education is the key to transformation.”

The Urdu and Hindi Departments of DPS Budgam organized an inter-house speech competition for students of classes 6 and 7. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, with students confidently expressing their thoughts on the given topics: “Social Changes Through Education” for Hindi and “The Main Purpose of Education” for Urdu. The competition was judged by Dean DPS Budgam, Mr. Mehfooz Aslam, Ms. Shaista, and Ms. Sumiti, who provided insightful feedback, motivating students to enhance their linguistic and public speaking skills. Participants from all four houses delivered engaging speeches, captivating the audience with their thoughtful perspectives.

In the Hindi speech category, Sawani from Dal House secured the first position, followed by Anshveer Singh from Manasbal House in second place and Amaanat Kour from Wular House in third place. The overall house rankings for Hindi placed Dal House in first place with 5 points, Nigeen House in second place with 3 points, Wular House in third place with 2 points, and Manasbal House in fourth place with 1 point.

For the Urdu speech category, Anas from Nigeen House claimed the first position, while Madeeha from Manasbal House secured second place, and Inaya from Nigeen House finished in third place. The house rankings for Urdu placed Nigeen House at the top with 5 points, followed by Manasbal House with 3 points, Wular House with 2 points, and Dal House with 1 point.

The event was anchored by Ridhi and Drishti for the Hindi segment and Merab and Kaneez Fatima for the Urdu segment, ensuring a smooth and engaging competition. The competition concluded in the presence of the Chief Guest, Principal Dr. D. Samuel Seelan, along with the event in-charges, Ms. Sandeep and Mr. Nadeem, and both HODs. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their speaking skills and gain confidence.
