Where Ideas Collide and Minds Evolve

On May 21, 2025, DPS Budgam hosted the much-anticipated Inter-House English Debate, an intellectually enriching event that showcased the oratory talents of students from the school’s four houses—Manasbal, Wular, Dal, and Nigeen. The debate provided a powerful platform for students to express diverse viewpoints, engage in critical thinking, and demonstrate their public speaking abilities. With topics that challenged perspectives and encouraged thoughtful discourse, participants presented structured arguments and delivered strong rebuttals with clarity and poise. The event was held in a formal setting and judged by a panel of faculty members, who assessed the debaters on content, argumentation, and overall presentation. The event was further elevated by the presence of Prof. Mumtazunnissa Soz, Pro Vice-Chairperson, DPS Budgam, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and applauded the participants for their articulate performances. Manasbal House was declared the winner, standing out for its exceptional delivery and reasoning.
