DPS Budgam Cross Country Run 2025: Racing Towards Resilience
“Stride by Stride, We Build Strength, Spirit, and Unity.”
The Cross Country Run at Delhi Public School Budgam is a landmark annual event that brings together students from Classes 6 to 12 in a celebration of endurance, fitness, and school spirit.
Held in the serene natural surroundings of Budgam, the event was designed to promote physical well-being, mental resilience, and teamwork.
Divided into three phases—seniors (Classes 10–12), juniors (Classes 6–7), and middle schoolers (Classes 8–9)—each group followed a carefully planned route tailored to their abilities.
The day began with a warm-up and a ceremonial flag-off led by the school dean.
Younger students were encouraged to enjoy the experience and embrace the values of participation and fun, while senior students took on more demanding routes and leadership responsibilities.
Inter-house competition added a vibrant edge to the event, motivating students to push their limits in support of their teams.
With teachers accompanying runners, and safety, medical, and refreshment stations in place, the event ensured a secure and energizing experience for all.
More than just a race, the Cross Country Run at DPS Budgam was a movement that instills perseverance, discipline, and unity—leaving behind powerful memories of achievement and togetherness that last long after the finish line is crossed.
“Running is the greatest metaphor for life, because you get out of it what you put into it.” — Oprah Winfrey
