‘Where Passion Meets Performance’ – Felicitation for Late Roop Singh Memorial Cricket Champions at DPS Budgam

Delhi Public School Budgam took center stage today as it hosted a vibrant felicitation ceremony, celebrating the triumphant winners of the distinguished Late Roop Singh Memorial Cricket Trophy—a landmark achievement in the school’s sporting legacy.

The event was honoured by the gracious presence of Principal, Ms. Glory George, whose heartfelt words inspired both students and faculty to continue their pursuit of excellence across academics and athletics. In a thrilling showdown, DPS Budgam clinched victory against Islamia Hanfia High School, Soura, demonstrating exceptional skills and tenacity.

 Setting a formidable target of 80 runs in the 10-over final, the team showcased remarkable discipline and teamwork, restricting their opponents to just 37 runs through impeccable bowling. A particularly proud moment was the recognition of Huzaif Ajaz of Class 10-B, who stole the limelight with an extraordinary all-round performance. Huzaif was lauded with three prestigious awards: Best Batsman, Best Bowler, and Man of the Series, exemplifying commitment and talent that brought immense pride to the DPS Budgam community. Coach, Bilal Ahmad’s outstanding leadership was acknowledged with the Best Coach and Team Disciplined Award for 2025. His unwavering support, strategic guidance, and motivational spirit played a pivotal role in propelling the team to new heights.

Ms. George, congratulated the champions and applauded their dedication, sportsmanship, and discipline.
