“The lamp burns bright not to illuminate itself, but to spread light to others.” – Swami Vivekananda
DPS Budgam celebrated the joyous festival of Diwali with great enthusiasm and devotion. On 16th October 2025, the students of Class 3rd D organized a special assembly to mark the festival of lights, spreading a message of positivity, unity, and hope. The program began with a serene prayer, invoking blessings for peace, happiness, and prosperity, followed by a speech that highlighted the true essence of Diwali — the triumph of righteousness and the importance of spreading light through kindness and good deeds.
A soulful Diwali song filled the atmosphere with festive cheer, reflecting the spirit of joy and togetherness. The celebration culminated in a graceful dance performance, beautifully portraying the vibrant energy and cultural richness associated with the festival. The assembly not only showcased the students’ talents but also captured the essence of Diwali as a time for harmony, gratitude, and celebration.
Through this event, the students conveyed a strong message about celebrating Diwali responsibly and spreading light through compassion and goodness. It served as a heartfelt reminder that even the smallest light can illuminate the darkest corners of our world, encouraging everyone to contribute positively to their community.
