“Grandparents are grandparents to the power of love.”
Delhi Public School, Budgam, celebrated Grandparents’ Day with immense enthusiasm and warmth on October 16, 2024. The UKG students took center stage to honor their beloved grandparents and parents, who were specially invited for the occasion. The dignified gathering was graced by esteemed guests, including Pro VC Ma’am, Mrs. Mumtaz-u-Nisa Soz, Principal Mrs. Glory George, Senior Academic Advisor Dr. Nahid Soz, Dr. Yasin Shah, and Junior School Incharge Ms. Tanveer Joo.
The celebration commenced with an izbandh ceremony, graced by the dignitaries. Principal Mrs. Glory George welcomed the grandparents, emphasizing their importance in the children’s lives. She expressed her gratitude to the parents and teachers for their hard work and efforts, also appreciating the keen participation of the children, which made the event a grand success.
The students showcased their talent with captivating dance performances featuring Punjabi and Kashmiri songs, mesmerizing the audience. A fun segment, where parents and grandparents participated in a musical game, added an extra layer of joy to the event.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Tanveer Joo. The celebration was a testament to the strong bond between generations and the importance of preserving family traditions.
