Childhood is a time of dreams, laughter, and boundless imagination—and Delhi Public School, Budgam captured this spirit beautifully during its vibrant Children’s Day celebration on 13th November 2025. The campus came alive with colours, music, and smiles as students and teachers came together to celebrate the joy and innocence of childhood. The day truly reflected the theme Celebrate, Perform, and Enjoy through an array of engaging and creative activities.

A cheerful beginning:

The celebration commenced with a Special Assembly conducted by the teachers, setting a radiant tone for the day. The assembly brimmed with uplifting speeches, melodious songs, and a captivating cultural presentation. Teachers’ heartfelt performances were met with thunderous applause from the students, fostering a warm bond of joy and appreciation between mentors and learners.

 Sports and Outdoor Fun:

 The school grounds buzzed with excitement as students participated enthusiastically in games such as Tug of War, Sack Race, Bucket Throwing, and Knot Race. Each event was a delightful display of teamwork, energy, and sportsmanship, filling the air with laughter and cheer.

 Joy for the Little Ones:

 For the junior school, specially curated fun games added an extra sparkle to the day. The little ones jumped, ran, and giggled their way through playful challenges, creating lasting memories of joy and friendship.

Creativity in Motion:

Outside basketball court, students of Grades XI and XII showcased their creativity through vibrant stall exhibits. The stalls reflected imaginative themes, innovation, and entrepreneurial zeal, offering a glimpse of the students’ resourcefulness and collaborative spirit.

 A Symphony of Talent

 The basketball court resonated with rhythm and melody as students presented soulful songs, energetic group performances, mesmerizing instrumental pieces, and spontaneous open mic sessions. The musical atmosphere truly celebrated the artistic flair that defines DPS Budgam.

Learning with Joy:

Within classrooms, students celebrated through storytelling, mimicry, and short skits—activities that inspired confidence, humour, and creative expression. Laughter and applause echoed through the corridors, creating an environment of warmth and togetherness

The World of Books:

Adding a touch of literary charm, a book fair was held at the sports complex. It offered a treasure of stories, adventures, and ideas through a variety of titles and genres. The fair rekindled students’ love for reading and exploration. The day ended with smiles all around, hearts full of joy, and memories that will be cherished for a long time.
