Christmas Celebration

“Love is the essence of Christmas—a time to spread joy, kindness, and hope.”

The students of Grade 3F, DPS Budgam, brought this spirit alive as they celebrated Christmas with great fervour and enthusiasm.

The festivities began with a heartfelt prayer, setting the tone for a day filled with love, laughter, and learning. Thought-provoking speeches in English and Urdu highlighted the significance of Christmas and the values of compassion, forgiveness, and kindness embodied by Jesus Christ. The young speakers reminded everyone of the importance of sharing, caring, and making the world a brighter place through simple acts of goodness.

A melodious Christmas carol, sung in harmony by the students, filled the atmosphere with festive cheer. Captivating dance performances followed, showcasing the children’s talent and joyful energy. The excitement reached its peak with the eagerly awaited arrival of Santa Claus, who delighted the children by distributing toffees and chocolates.

The occasion was graced by the Principal, Mrs. Glory George, and Dr. Nahid Soz, whose presence added warmth to the celebration. Addressing the gathering, Mrs. George expressed her gratitude for the wonderful programme and emphasized the importance of Christmas as a time for love, sharing, and kindness. She encouraged the students to carry these values with them throughout the year.

Through this celebration, the students learned meaningful lessons about the true spirit of Christmas—love, kindness, and generosity. The assembly was gently reminded of the enduring power of unity, compassion, and togetherness that this festival represents.
