Harvest the blessings of today, sow the seeds of hope for tomorrow…..
Delhi Public School, Budgam wore a festive look on 16th April 2026, as Class 4A presented a vibrant special assembly to mark the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi. The assembly aimed to help students understand the cultural and historical significance of the harvest festival of Punjab. The programme began on a serene note with the morning prayer, followed by the school pledge and thought for the day. Students of 4A then came forward with speeches highlighting Baisakhi as a harvest festival. The audience was further delighted by poems in Hindi and Punjabi that captured the joy of reaping crops and the spirit of new beginnings. A melodious group song filled the atmosphere with festive cheer, while the highlight of the morning was a beautiful dance performance in colourful Punjabi attire. The energetic steps to the beats of dhol truly brought the fields of Punjab alive on stage. The assembly concluded with a message that everyone should value hard work, gratitude, and unity — the core messages of Baisakhi. The celebration was a wonderful blend of learning and festivity, leaving everyone with smiles and a deeper respect for India’s rich cultural heritage.
