Celebrating World Book Day

Opening Books, Opening Minds- Where Every Page Turns Into a New World…

The students of Class 5E, turned the morning of 20th April 2026 into a heartfelt tribute to the magic of words as they presented a special assembly on ‘World Book Day’. Beginning with a soulful prayer, the assembly set a thoughtful tone that flowed into inspiring thoughts on the power of reading, reminding everyone that “a book is a dream we hold in our hands.” The students from 5E delivered speeches that celebrated authors, libraries, and the joy of getting lost in stories, while melodious song-poems echoed through the hall, bringing beloved verses to life. The highlight of the morning was a wonderful skit performed by the young artists, which beautifully showcased how books become friends, teachers, and windows to countless worlds, urging peers to make reading a daily habit. With creativity, clarity, and conviction, the students not only honoured World Book Day but also planted seeds of curiosity and imagination in every heart present, proving that when children lead with books, they lead the world to wisdom.
