“No work is insignificant. All labour that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance.” – Martin Luther King The students of Grade 4B presented a heartfelt Special Assembly on ‘Labour Day’ on 2nd May, 2026, paying tribute to the countless helpers whose silent efforts shape our everyday lives. The assembly began on a serene note with a soulful prayer song, followed by a thought-provoking ‘Thought for the Day’ that reminded everyone of the dignity of labour. Confident young speakers from 4B delivered speeches highlighting the role of workers across professions — from farmers and builders to doctors and drivers — emphasizing that every job deserves respect. The highlight of the morning was a wonderful skit staged by the students, which brought to life the importance of our helpers at home and in school. Through simple yet powerful scenes, they portrayed the dedication of guards, gardeners, cleaners, drivers, and support staff, leaving the audience moved and reflective. The occasion was graced by Principal Mrs. Glory George, who lauded the teachers and students of 4B for sensitively recognizing the efforts of the support staff. She noted that such assemblies sow the seeds of gratitude and empathy in young minds, which are vital for holistic growth. In a touching gesture, members of the ‘Support Staff’ were invited on stage and presented with handmade cards by the students as a token of gratitude for their unwavering service. Their smiles lit up the gathering, making the moment truly special. The event reaffirmed the school ‘s commitment to value-based education, where respect, empathy, and gratitude are celebrated alongside academics.
