
Youth Parliament Programme Empowers DPS Budgam Students with Democratic Values and Leadership Skills
Delhi Public School Budgam successfully conducted a highly informative and engaging Youth Parliament programme for the students of Classes 9th to 12th. The event aimed to create awareness among students about the democratic functioning of the Indian Parliamentary system and to develop leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills among the participants.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who confidently represented various parliamentary roles and discussed important national issues with great zeal and responsibility. Their remarkable performances reflected thorough preparation, confidence, and awareness of parliamentary procedures.
The event was convened under the guidance of Mr. G. M. Dar, Programme Convenor, along with Mr. Ishfaq Mir, Assistant Convenor, whose dedicated efforts ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the programme.
The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of the Director of DPS Budgam as the Special Guest, who appreciated the students for their confidence, discipline, and outstanding presentation skills. The Director also encouraged the students to actively participate in such academic and co-curricular activities that promote responsible citizenship and leadership qualities.
Certificates of participation were distributed by the Principal among the participants in recognition of their sincere efforts and active involvement in the programme.
The programme was moderated by Mr. Tarieq Ahmad Mir, HOD Department, who effectively guided the proceedings and maintained the decorum of the parliamentary session throughout the event.
The Youth Parliament programme concluded on a positive note, leaving the students enriched with valuable learning experiences and a deeper understanding of democratic values and parliamentary practices.
