Inter-House SST Quiz Class 5

Quizzing Minds, Exploring Times!!!

An exciting Inter-House SST Quiz for Grade 5 was organized by the SST Department, Junior Wing, DPS Budgam on 15 May 2026 to ignite young learners’ love for history, geography, and current affairs. Four vibrant teams from Manasbal, Nigeen, Dal, and Wular Houses competed across seven engaging rounds that tested both knowledge and reflexes. The quiz began with _Round 1 – India Basics_ covering states, capitals, and national symbols, followed by _Round 2 – Apna J&K_ which celebrated the culture, heritage, and geography of Jammu & Kashmir. _Round 3 – Our Earth, Our Universe_ took students from continents to constellations, while _Round 4 – Inventors and Explorers_ honoured great minds from Aryabhata to Kalpana Chawla. The competition heated up in _Round 5 – Visual Round on Freedom Fighters_ where teams identified legends from pictures, and continued with _Round 6 – Identify the Slogan_ and _Round 7 – Identify the Event_ based on key moments of Indian history. After a neck-to-neck battle, Manasbal House clinched the ‘Winner’s title, with ‘Nigeen House’ as ‘ Ist Runner-Up’ and Dal House as ‘2nd Runner-Up. Wular House also participated with great spirit and was applauded for their enthusiasm. Principal Mrs. Glory George graced the occasion and congratulated all the participants and appreciated the SST Department for making learning interactive and fun.
