The lawns of DPS Budgam turned into a canvas of vibrant colors and imagination during the ‘Rangoli Competition’ organized for the students of Class 5.
Moving away from conventional colors, the young artists used Eco-friendly, day-to-day materials like rice, pulses, wheat, lentils etc. to create their designs. The competition aimed to blend creativity with sustainability while connecting children to their roots and kitchen traditions. With teamwork and enthusiasm, the students crafted beautiful patterns of flowers, peacocks and diyas. Each rangoli reflected not just skill, but also values of sharing, patience, and environmental care. The colourful grains spread across the lawn symbolized unity in diversity — small elements coming together to form something beautiful. Teachers appreciated the students’ innovation, neatness, and thoughtful use of natural materials. The event concluded with smiles, photographs, and a reminder that true art lies in using what we have to create something meaningful.
