Clean-Up Rally 2026 | Mindscape Club, DPS Budgam
Kashmir, celebrated as “Paradise on Earth,” is today confronting a growing waste management crisis. Every day, the Valley produces hundreds of metric tonnes of garbage, much of which remains untreated or is discarded openly, affecting rivers, roadsides, public spaces, and the overall environment. The increasing pollution not only threatens the natural beauty of Kashmir but also impacts public health and community well-being.
Driven by a sense of responsibility towards their environment, the students of the Mindscape Club at Delhi Public School Budgam organised a Clean-Up Rally in and around the outskirts of the school campus. The initiative aimed to spread awareness about the importance of cleanliness and inspire collective action towards building a greener and healthier Kashmir.
Before beginning the drive, student volunteers addressed their peers and highlighted the urgent need for responsible waste disposal and environmental consciousness. Emphasising that meaningful change begins with small individual efforts, the students encouraged everyone to take ownership of their surroundings and contribute towards preserving the Valley’s beauty.
The rally saw enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, Principal Ms Glory George, and Dean Mr Mehfooz Aslam, all of whom worked together to clean the surrounding areas of the school campus. With dedication, teamwork, and a shared sense of purpose, the participants collected and segregated waste, turning the initiative into a powerful example of community collaboration and civic responsibility.
Through this rally, the Mindscape Club delivered a strong message — a cleaner Kashmir begins with each one of us. Every small action matters, and together, communities can create lasting positive change for the environment and future generations.
