Mental Health Awareness Session Conducted for Senior Students
With the aim of “empowering students through awareness, education, and emotional well-being,” Delhi Public School Budgam organised a meaningful Mental Health Awareness Session for the students of Classes IX, X, XI, and XII on May 18, 2026. The programme was conducted under the able guidance and support of the Principal, Ms. Glory George, and the School Management. The initiative aimed to promote emotional well-being and help students better understand the challenges commonly faced during adolescence.
The session focused on emotional, behavioural, and psychological aspects of adolescent development and encouraged students to develop self-awareness, emotional resilience, healthy coping strategies, and a positive perspective towards mental health.
The session was conducted by Mr. Muzaffar Ahmad, Clinical Psychologist and Child & Adolescent Mental Health Specialist, whose expertise and insightful approach made the programme highly informative, interactive, and engaging. Through thoughtful discussions and relatable examples, he guided students on stress management, emotional balance, confidence building, and the importance of seeking support whenever required.
The programme reflected the school’s continuous commitment towards the holistic development of students by prioritising both academic excellence and emotional well-being.
Such initiatives strengthen the collective effort of educators, parents, and professionals in nurturing responsible, emotionally balanced, and confident individuals prepared to face life’s challenges positively.
