Inter-House Multi-Lingual Debate Competition Grade 5

Dressed in confidence and curiosity, the young orators of Grade 5 came together for an Inter-House Multi-Lingual Debate Competition organised by the Language Departments of DPS Budgam on 7th August, 2026.
The stage came alive with young voices discussing the thought-provoking topic: “Should Children Get Pocket Money or Not.” With four participants from each house, the hall echoed with ideas shared in English, Hindi, and Urdu. Each speaker presented their views with clarity, logic, and charm, making the competition a true celebration of expression and understanding.
The audience was truly impressed by the brilliance of our young speakers. The title of ‘ Best Speaker’ was awarded to: Ayedah Feroze -Wular House for English, Muawiya Ashai – Dal House for Urdu, and Yugveer Singh – Nigeen House for Hindi.
Their confidence and eloquence won hearts and applause. The event was graced by the respected Principal, Mrs. Glory George. She motivated the students with her encouraging words and applauded their efforts, talent, and spirit.
The competition concluded on a proud note with medals for the winners and certificates for all participants, presented by Principal Ma’am.
The debate was not just a competition, but a beautiful showcase of language, learning, and teamwork. It gave our young learners a platform to think critically, speak fearlessly, and respect diverse opinions. It was indeed a memorable day of learning, expression, and inspiration.
