BOOKARO 2026 – READ, EXPLORE & DISCOVER!

With the aim of instilling a lifelong love for reading, Delhi Public School Budgam organised a vibrant Book Fair from 10th to 14th August 2026 at the school premises. The fair was formally inaugurated by our respected Principal, Mrs. Glory George, in the presence of teachers and enthusiastic students. In her address, Mrs. George highlighted how books open doors to new worlds, build empathy, and strengthen language and thinking skills. She encouraged every child to pick at least one book and make reading a daily habit.

The Book Fair was a visual delight and an intellectual treat. A wide range of age-appropriate books were displayed — including picture books, story collections, science and GK, biographies, fiction, and educational resources. Students moved from stall to stall with great curiosity, flipping through pages, discussing titles with friends, and making thoughtful choices.

For many children, this was more than just buying books. It was about exploring, questioning, and discovering new interests. Teachers guided students to select books that match their reading level and interests, ensuring that the experience was both joyful and meaningful.

Events like these play a crucial role in developing the habit of reading beyond textbooks. They help children become independent thinkers, confident speakers, and empathetic individuals.Such programmes help to nurture a generation of readers who find joy, knowledge, and inspiration between the pages of a book.
