Delhi Public School, Budgam resonated with vibrant energy, joy and artistic brilliance as the students of Class 8 of all sections gathered to celebrate their Annual Day. Centered on the profound and timely theme of “Unity in Diversity: A Tapestry of Cultures,” the grand event transformed the school into a celebration of heritage, international harmony and artistic expression. The atmosphere reflected the school’s core mission of fostering unity, mutual respect and global citizenship among young learners. The celebration was graced by the esteemed presence of the Chief Guest, Mrs. Mumtazunnisa Soz, Honourable Pro-Vice Chairperson of DPS Budgam.The event was further enriched by the distinguished presence of the School Principal, Mrs. Glory George; General Manager, Mr. Mudasir Mir; and dedicated faculty members and staff, who gathered to encourage and applaud the children.The programme commenced auspiciously with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a warm welcome address.

The cultural programme that followed was a true feast for the eyes and soul. Students displayed colourful traditional attires and synchronized footwork representing distinct regional and global dance forms, capturing the true spirit of our rich heritage. This was beautifully complemented by engaging theatrical skits and enactments that highlighted historical narratives of unity, tolerance and empathy, reminding the audience that our strength lies in embracing our differences. The celebration was further elevated by melodious choral renditions and symphony where soulful songs dedicated to peace, brotherhood and world unity captivated every listener. Adding to the grandeur were the vibrant backdrops, artistic stage designs and well-curated props crafted under teacher supervision which provided an immersive cultural experience for all present.

The undeniable success of this grand celebration stands as a shining testament to the relentless and tireless efforts put in by all concerned Class 8 teachers and mentors. Working day and night behind the scenes, teachers trained, motivated and guided students across every section with immense patience and dedication. The discipline, flawless coordination and boundless confidence radiating from every student on stage earned widespread admiration and standing ovations from the dignitaries and parents alike.
