DPS Budgam celebrates ‘World Day for Cultural Diversity’ in collaboration with The Gems Legacy School Dubai

Diversity is the one true thing we have in common. Celebrating this diversity Delhi Public School Budgam conducted a twinning programme on ‘World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development’ in collaboration with The Gems Legacy School, Dubai. Both schools have already worked together for a Cultural Exchange Twinning Programme and World Environment Day on a virtual platform.The programme aimed to decipher the importance of culture that have been maintained from the times immemorial.The students of class 6th, 7th and 8th presented the various cultures of India as Indian culture is an amalgamation of various cultures. Some other institutions like Mount View International Primary School, Malawi and Sacred Heart Convent Senior Secondary School, Kottayan were also part of this programme.
The management and the school Principal Ms Shobhna Sirohi have always encouraged the students to be the active part of such benign and constructive ventures. The Principal stated that such collaborative projects always provide purposeful and meaningful learning experiences for the students as well as the teachers.
