DPS Budgam Celebrates Motherhood…

Mother – a walking miracle

Mother: the most beautiful word on the lips of mankind. Acceptance, tolerance, bravery and compassion defines ‘mother’. Mothers’  Day is a special day, for all children and mothers as, it celebrates the bond of love and affection that is everlasting. Keeping this bonding emotion in mind, the students of DPS Budgam hosted their mothers on the special occasion. The event was held on 20th October, 2022, as mothers of grade 2nd were specially invited to spend a memorable day filled with a host of performances planned to honour and appreciate all mothers. The event beheld the gracious presence of  Ms Shobhna Sirohi, Principal DPS Budgam, Ms Nighat Aman, SSP Security Civil Secretariat and Ms Tanveer Joo, In charge Junior School DPS Budgam. The event started with a welcome speech by the esteemed Principal DPS Budgam, Ms Shobhna Sirohi. Ms Sirohi with immense admiration and affection,  welcomed  the chief guest of the day and the mothers who made the efforts to join this ceremony. Ms Sirohi said that the bond of a mother and her child is so special that it is cherished forever. One day is not enough to celebrate motherhood and we should make every day as special as Mother’s Day to shower our love upon our mothers. She asserted the importance of good parenting. If we can teach our kids the right values, hopefully, they can get a brighter future and we can have a better world, a world where we all will live in peace and harmony. It was a moment of elation to see the happiness ushering in the faces of all the mothers who made the most of this wonderful day with happiness. It was a pleasure watching the dynamic and energetic performances by mothers for their kids. The exemplary performance of the students on various retro songs tied the entire show and left everyone spellbound with cheerful faces.  Songs, dance performances and other fun activities mesmerized the audience, as the children put their best foot forward.

The chief guest Ms Nighat Aman addressed the audience and talked about the importance of having mothers’ in our lives and mothers  being the emotional backbone of the family. The event culminated with a vote of thanks given by Ms Tanveer Joo, Junior School In charge DPS Budgam. Ms Tanveer  expressed her gratitude to all the mothers as it is a mother who is the first teacher and the first friend of her children.

Mother –  All love begins and ends there… Let us treasure this love.
