Teachers’ Day Celebrations
Teaching is a profession that creates all other professions. Although no gesture or words can be enough to express our gratitude towards our teachers, Teachers’ Day gives us a chance to remember our teachers and thank them from the core of our heart.
As a run up to the Teachers’ Day celebrations, held every year on 5th of September, a special programme was held at DPS Budgam. The chief guests of the event were the CO of the BSF STC, Mr. Vidhur Baradwaj, and Deputy Commandant Mr Raviendra Thapliyal. The event commenced with a documentary on the formation of the Border Security Force. Then Mr. Thapliyal lauded the contribution of teachers in our society. Most of students aspire to be either a doctor or an engineer. There are other carrier opportunities that get neglected. Mr Bharadwaj threw light on the options available to all the students after Class 12 and graduation. He further added that we can join forces after completing our professional courses and make a wonderful carrier. Mr. Baradwaj also addressed the students. He highlighted the contribution of teachers in his life. He encouraged the students to take both sports and studies seriously.
Furthermore, an interactive session was held where students asked questions related to the procedure of joining different armed forces. The students showed a lot of interest in the session and were keenly listening to the guests
The Principal of the school, Ms. Shobhna Sirohi, also spoke on the occasion. She encouraged the students to take alternative carriers. A momento was also presented to the school by the guests.
