D.P.S. Budgam Celebrates Annual Sports Day

Champions Train, Losers Complain…..

Sports is a need to inculcate the sporting spirit in children, it is an integral part of every student’s life. This helps the children to explore their hidden sports interests as they enjoy healthy competition with each other. With this spirit, Delhi Public School, Budgam  celebrated its Annual Sports day of class 2nd with great enthusiasm on 2nd November, 2023. The excitement and enthusiasm were clearly visible in everyone’s eyes. Students had prepared various drills and performances  for the day. The event was conducted on the playground of the school. And began with a wonderful opening dance followed by various drills, basic exercises and energetic dance performances. The talented students amazed the audience with their wonderful spectacle of  Ball Drill, Umbrella Drill, Dumbbell Drill etc. The performances of the young champions filled the air with high spirits.

 The event’s significance was further highlighted by the presence of Pro VC of the school-Mrs.Mumtaz-u-Nisa Soz, Principal D.P.S. Budgam- Mr. Mehfooz Aslam and Junior School Incharge- Ms Tanveer Joo. On this occasion, Mr. Mehfooz Aslam addressed the audience with his motivating words and encouraged everyone to make sports a crucial part of their routine as both sports and studies are an integral part of one’s life. Depicting the importance of sports, Mr. Aslam said that intellectual talent and courage are developed in us through sports. The event concluded with the words of appreciation from Principal of the school for the efforts of the students and teachers for putting up such a nice and well-coordinated show.
