DPS Budgam Welcomes Its New Principal-Dr. D. Samuel Seelan

DPS Budgam welcomes its new Principal-Dr. D. Samuel Seelan on 16th April,2024.

Dr. Seelan is a distinguished academic, having secured the top rank with a Master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Madras.
His academic accolades include a Gold Medal in both his M.Ed. and M.Phil. programs, and he was awarded a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, alongside a Junior Research Fellowship from the
University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi.
With an extensive background in both teaching and administrative roles, primarily in international
and residential schools across Tamil Nadu, Dr. Seelan brings a wealth of experience to the
institution. His dedication to educational excellence is evident through his past achievements.
Furthermore, Dr. Seelan is an active contributor to the academic community, with a robust portfolio of research spanning topics such as child psychology, problem-solving abilities,
administrative behavior, and the emotional and social intelligence of students. His work has significantly enriched national and international educational research journals, establishing him as
an important figure in the educational sector. Welcome Assemblies were conducted in both the Junior & Senior Wings of the school in honour of the new Principal. Dr. Seelan interacted with the children and staff members and promised for a journey of growth and success.
